Feed Mill Technical Manager, Essex

W & H Marriage & Sons is recruiting a Technical Manager for its animal feed mill in Chelmsford, Essex.

The company supplies farms and retailers, principally with feed for poultry but also equine, ruminant and small animal.

This key position is central to the technical and commercial function of the mill. It requires a scientific background with knowledge of animal nutrition and ideally feed formulation and milling.

Responsibilities include mill audits, raw material procurement, quality control systems and product development.

The right person will need a commercial astuteness to deliver profitable results and the ability to communicate very effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues at all levels.

The role will be mainly office-based in Chelmsford but may involve some travel. A comprehensive remuneration package will be offered, reflecting the importance of the role.


Feed Mill Operative, Essex

W & H Marriage & Sons is looking for a Feed Mill Operative at our site in Chelmsford city centre, Essex.

Company Profile:

Marriage's is a milling company, owned and run by the fifth and sixth generation of the Marriage family. Marriage's produce quality flour and animal feed. Our Chelmsford site has 110 employees across the office, mills and transport fleet.

The Role:

This is a multifunctional role in the Feed Mill including: picking materials for packing, packing product using a computerised process, dealing with rejected product, forklift truck driving and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the Feed Mill.

The hours of work will be 6am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
